White World: A Poem

It seems that sometimes the way to get past writer’s block is as simple as writing about that case of writer’s block.

Divergent Thoughts

White World

I’ve been here before,
This blank open space.
The place where ideas are few,
And the ones that come, too quickly decay.
It’s one of the hells inside my mind,
A white world with nothing to write.
I never manage to find a way out,
Yet somehow I seem to break free.
I don’t know if it’s by force of will that I escape,
Or perhaps by pure dumb luck that I stumble my way out.
Back out into a world where words are real,
A world full of possible things to write.
